DOT Audio Recorder overview

DOT Audio Recorder records whatever your Mac is playing. Press Cmd-R while something plays (a YouTube video, a preset demo, a friend's session) and DOT keeps it, trimmed to the sound, with its key, tempo and chords.

Record one app, or all Mac audio, with one keystroke
Every take is trimmed for you; the handles snap to the beat
Key, tempo and a chord for every half bar on musical clips
Search your clips by title, key or tempo
Drag a clip into your DAW, Finder or any app that takes audio
Export the chords as MIDI and play them with your own sounds

No audio driver, plugin or rerouting: DOT uses the system audio capture Apple added in macOS 14.2.

Free to try: your first 10 recordings and 3 chord MIDI exports. $49 once unlocks unlimited recordings and chord MIDI on up to 3 of your own Macs, with free updates.
